DAVID SAIGET Principal Biologist/Scientist
Photographer/Videographer
FAA Certified Remote Pilot (Drone)
Freediver (breath-hold)
David Saiget has been studying salmon and trout biology, monitoring populations, and implementing stream restoration projects for over 29 years. Beginning in 1991 with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game in Cordova, Alaska, and later in a 17 year-career as a US Forest Service fish biologist, David has conducted fisheries projects on the Copper River Delta and Prince William Sound of Alaska and in the Cascade Range temperate rainforests of Oregon and Washington, incorporating sound-science and up-to-date methods in his work. His time spent in the watersheds of Alaska gave him a perspective for pristine, unimpacted fish runs and habitat while time spent in the Pacific Northwest gave him a perspective for stream and habitat restoration. He formed BIOFISH, LLC in Alaska in 1995 and began operating it full-time in 2008 after retiring from his Federal fisheries position. David is also a U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-Certified Remote Pilot. He has been operating camera-mounted quadcopters since 2013. David is also a Freediver, diving without SCUBA, using single breath-hold technique.

TERRY OTTO Senior Fish Biologist/Scientist
Terry Otto has worked on salmon and trout monitoring in Oregon and Washington since 2000. He has worked for the U.S. Forest Service-Zigzag Ranger District in Zigzag, Oregon, the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area in Hood River, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council. He has a deep understanding of salmon and trout behavior and brings exceptional attention to detail and great observation skills to his fieldwork. Terry also is a writer for numerous sport fishing and hunting publications across the West.
KATY HANNA Senior Fish Biologist/Scientist
Katy first began working with salmon and trout with the U.S. Forest Service in 2003, conducting smolt trapping, spawning surveys, stream restoration, and conservation education projects. In 2004 she joined the U.S. Forest Service Regional stream survey program, conducting Hankin/Reeves stream survey protocols throughout Oregon and Washington. She was a co-investigator on a bull trout prey base study with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in eastern Oregon in 2007. She also spent two seasons on the Olympic Pennisula monitoring fish populations by conducting downstream snorkel surveys of large rivers for the National Park Service. Katy received her stream restoration certificate from Portland State University in 2008.
Kyle Brackensiek Senior Fish Biologist/Scientist
Kyle has over 15 years of experience in freshwater and marine ecology and fisheries biology. His experience is a balance of field and research monitoring, quantitative research design and analysis, and technical expertise on collaborative process driven salmon recovery efforts. He has worked for the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the United States Geological Service (USGS), the U.S Fish and Widlife Service (USFWS), the U.S. Forest Service in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, State Universities, and several environmental consulting firms throughout the Pacific Northwest. His diverse experience includes regional salmon recovery efforts and assessment of hatchery management practices to facilitate wild salmon recovery, natural resources damage assessments in response to the to BP Gulf Oil Spill, and numerous monitoring and research projects to assess fish population conditions in response to environmental restoration efforts and limiting environmental factors. Kyle brings a diverse and balanced expertise of technical skills in both field biology and environmental compliance – assessment services. Kyle is also an experienced snorkler, surveying fish populations from underneath the water surface using mask, fins, and drysuit.
